An epic tale of Naruto going to school and standing up for what is right.
Ben was the main writer and editor for this episode. He had originally created it as a part of a rapid-fire series called Megabridged, where the goal was to put out a video every week and the target demographic was edgy teens. Ben says he hated what he had become when he made this. I don't know what that means but I think I understand the sentiment of tortured creator.
Tyler and I tried to jam in our own jokes into Ben's nearly lost episode... and Ben was pretty accepting of that. Perhaps it is I that made this such a painful process to my dear friend Ben... But, y'know, get to work. We got lulz to generate. We re-misapropriated the episode and branded it a One Shot Wonders, even though One Shot Wonders was still a twinkle in its daddy's eye (Tyler). Anyway, this is the second non-OSW episode that was rebranded into the series because it was already done for something else, but just so happened to be a stand-alone episode, so it fit. What? Do you wanna fight about it?
Naruto Kills Hitler Abridged was a title I came up with. The original title was going to be Boruto's Dad Abridged. My argument: people would want to click on something with Hitler in the title. But not Boruto. Because Hitler has more name-recognition than Boruto. While killing Hitler was technically a joke in the video, it is definitely not what the video is about. The academic term for this is "click-bait." It's a form of marketing that we learned it from the bastions of true journalistic integrity: Buzzfeed, Vox, and The Onion. But guess what?! Nobody cares if you kill Hitler! Everyone whose opinion matters does not in the slightest get offended by the idea of killing the man named Adolf Hitler.
But hey, can we talk about how Megabridged is like the prototype Voodoo Moose. Three abridgers working together? I think that sounds familiar. Check this out, this was another series that was going to be a part of Megabridged, but got rebranded.
The third and final episode made for Megabridged was a Gundam Wing parody on MurcuryFalcon's YouTube channel. It was taken down due to copyright so it is lost in the anals of history.
